Meet Our Team

John Stob, Jr.

John Stob, Jr. was born, raised and still lives near Chicago, Illinois. Since college, he has been a leader in school, church, business, family and men's groups. In 1982, John joined his family-owned solid waste disposal business as the sole sales person and was rapidly promoted until he assumed duties as President in 1984. The company's growth and profitability for the next 16 years were his responsibility. During that time annual revenue grew exponentially. To facilitate this growth, John restructured the company and the senior management team comprised mainly of family and extended family members to compete more successfully, oversaw all public relations and advertising, introduced team coaching and development programs and acted as business liaison between management and shareholders.

His expertise extends to companies and individuals looking to make a big leap in their personal and professional development.

John Stob says

"Starting Stob Consulting Associates was a natural transition for me. For 16 years, I served as President of Speedway Disposal and Recycling, a family-owned business with over 100 employees and 85 trucks. During that time, Company revenues grew to over $15 million. Through supervising and directing the executive team including Vice Presidents of Finance and Operations, I introduced team coaching and development programs and developed and initiated new strategies. As I was responsible for the growth and profitability of the company, I researched and established pricing and developed long and short-term business strategies that maximized profits. Over the years, I have developed expertise in all facets of management, business planning, team building and executive coaching. In the year 2000, I orchestrated the sale of the company at a level far above expectations. I was proud to hear from my employees, contractors and suppliers that I was an energetic leader with the ability to coach and develop personnel."

"Today, Stob Consulting Associates delivers what our clients have learned to expect from us - a friendly, honest, straightforward and ethical business approach. I believe that this sets us apart from other business consulting companies. I am comfortable working with all levels of a company. I listen to my clients to hear their objectives clearly. Based on these objectives, we develop effective business strategies and solutions."
